Rugged Small Form Factor Embedded System Combines Latest Generation x86 processors with High End Graphic Processing Units.
Surrey, BC, Canada – April 10, 2014 Tusk Embedded Technologies Inc., a provider of rugged embedded computer hardware, today announced the addition of the Connect Tech COM Express + GPU Embedded System to its lineup of rugged, industrial computer hardware.
The COM Express + GPU Embedded System combines the latest generation x86 processors with high end Graphics Processing Units (GPU) all into a ruggedized small form factor embedded system. Choose from 4th Generation Intel® Core™ i7 or i5 (Haswell) x86 processor options and from either the AMD Radeon™ E6760 GPU, ideal for driving multiple displays or from the NVIDIA® GeForce™ GT 745M GPU for applications that require access to CUDA® Cores and the ability to process complex mathematics in parallel of the on-board x86 CPU.
The COM Express + GPU Embedded System is the latest in a series of COM Express Carriers from Connect Tech which addresses the growing need for small footprint, embedded GPU solutions along with solving the challenging thermal requirements present when pairing a quad core i7 with GPU in a small form factor.
